Getting It Done.

Minddie’s Priorities

  • Home Means Nevada - but with rising rents and home prices, many of our friends and neighbors in Clark County are struggling to find an affordable place to call home.

Minddie will work to responsibly increase the supply of affordable housing, working with stakeholders to identify suitable locations and projects to bring relief to Nevadans navigating the housing market.

She’ll work for stronger tenant protections, fighting predatory business practices to ensure renters are getting a fair deal for housing free from hidden fees and price fixing.

  • Minddie has been an advocate for our community’s law enforcement and first responders for decades. Her husband, LVMPD Lieutenant Erik Lloyd, honorably served our community for 29 years and died in the line of duty in 2021.

Minddie currently serves on the board of the Injured Police Officers Fund where they work to reduce the burden of Police Officers and their families in the event of an injury or death in the line of duty.

She also serves on the board of STOP DUI to aid in their mission of aiming to reduce driving while impaired in Clark County.

She is the co-founder of Bamboo Bridges, a nonprofit focused on advocating for victims of trafficking and domestic violence, and works to raise awareness and provide resources on both issues in the community.

From investments in community policing and mental health support to improving the safety of our roads and parks - Minddie will leverage her personal experience and relationships in the field to work with our community’s first responders and keep your family safe.

  • Minddie knows the importance of good jobs that pay a living wage. On the County Commission, Minddie will invest in opportunities to diversify our local economy and create jobs that pay well and keep the bills paid.

She’ll support the creation and expansion of skills based training programs, internships, and mentorships that connect people in search of employment with the tools they need to find it, and the industries looking to hire.

Minddie will advocate for small businesses, working with her colleagues on the Commission to identify opportunities to reduce red tape, and simplify the process of starting a business in our community.

She’ll always stand with organized labor in their fight to build power for Nevada’s working class.
